Scripture Memory Verse #14

Today is the day to post our 14th verse! Time continues on...I want to capture each moment and include the LORD in every second He gives me and so desire to meditate on His Word day and night.

Whether you have memorized all 13 verses thus far or this is the first, may the LORD use the Text to renew our minds so that we can test and approve of what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will (from Romans 12).

Feel free to click on the post title above if you are posting your verse on the Living Proof Website. There is a link in the title.

Let's hear from one another and share from our hearts in the comments section:
1. Your verse
2. Why you chose it
3. What is one thing you are thankful for today?
4. Summer heat question...what is your favorite ice cream?

Welcome to the Team Layla, Stephanie, Tami, and Mandy! We are so glad you have joined us! You are welcome here! Let's give a shout out to these ladies!

1. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-19, ESV)

2. I chose this verse because it was my last memory verse and I didn't memorize it! So it's a repeat :-)

3. I'm thankful for time . . . time to spend with people. Summer is such a slow season for me, I'm thankful to connect with people and spend unhurried time with them.

4. I LOVE vanilla bean with chocolate syrup. I mix it so it's like a milkshake. Okay, and sometimes I add reese's pieces. Yum!

Good Morning!

1. How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:1-2

2. Psalm 84 has been on my heart to memorize for some time and so I will focus on this chapter for the rest of the year. This chapter challenges me, is the cry of my heart, encourages me, and moves me to worship.

3. I am thankful for the 80 something degree weather in Fresno in the middle of July. What a gift to feel the fresh breeze blowing...so thankful!

I am grateful for this Team...for the vulnerability and authenticity displayed!

4. I love Thrifty Mint n chip as well as peanutbutter and chocolate!

Tami, that is the verse I memorized last month! O how I want to know and rely on the Lord's love!

Melissa, thank you for allowing us to live in grace and freedom in Christ and for just being real and sharing that you are memorizing the same verse this week!

I am looking forward to hearing from the rest of you!!! Enjoy your Saturday!

1. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2)

2. I chose this verse because it is one of my favorites. I need to remind myself that I am not of this world. I get caught up in the daily to do's of life and looking to worldly things to make me happy. We need to be different than the rest of the world because we have Jesus and when we do that we will discover his perfect will for us. :)

3. I am thankful for the time my husband and I have had today to clean up our garage. It feels so good to get organized! lol

4. It really just depends on my mood, but I really like Ben and Jerry's Fish Food flavor. Sooo good!

Thanks for welcoming me to this group! Excited for what's to come!

1. "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all". 2Corinthians 4:17

2. I chose this verse because God allowed me to understand His greatness in the presence of my deepest sorrow. There is "nothing" we have and will ever go through that God isn't greater than them all.

3. I am thankful for the friends God has brought into my life and thankful He loves me.

4. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip.

1. For this moment in time, I chose the following verse: "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Matthew 10:39

2. I chose this because I have been struggling the last couple of months and lost my way to the point I just did not even know how to go about even beginning to find my way back. I had to stop and take a hard look, lose my life for myself and give it over to the Lord so I could fully find Him once again.

3. Today I am overly thankful for all of the bountiful blessings God has been pouring into my life, showing me that I am on the right path once again, and this time more faithful and stronger than ever before. All thanks to Him.

4. My favorite ice cream is kind of a tie between Rocky Road and Mint Chocolate Chip...although I like almost any kind of ice cream, especially in this heat!

1. he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and a new life through the Holy Spirit. titus 3:5

2. I chose this verse because I really need to grab hold of my new life in the spirit and stop hanging out in the old.

3. Today I am thankful that God doesn't seem to be finished with me yet. (because I certainly would be)

4. coffee ice cream. coffee anything really.

1: Psalms 148:4 "Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!"
2: I picked this verse because it brings up the idea that heaven might be finite. Not that I am saying I would want that, just that it is one of the many ways God likes to surprise us. :)
3: Seeing Gunner after 10 days of being gone! And church camp! :)
4: Huckleberry would have to be a new favorite.

Sorry I'm late!
For the next 8 weeks I'm going to be spending my time trying to memorize psalm 121.

Verses 1-2
I lift my eyes up to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

I just finished reading through the psalms and really loved this psalm of ascent.

I am thankful for unrushed, quiet Saturday mornings.

I'm not an ice cream eater but occasionally enjoy rite aid mint and chip ice cream. my favorite is frozen yogurt.
